Located west of Beltway 8, this neighborhood is bordered by Memorial Drive on the north and Wilcrest on the west. With just under 500 homes, these four separately governed areas blend seamlessly into one. The mostly traditional homes, built as early as the 1960s to as recently as last month, offer a wide range from which to choose.
Rummel Creek Elementary School is just across Memorial Drive from this outstanding location, and school-aged children continue to Memorial Middle School and Stratford High School. All three schools are known within Spring Branch Independent School District for their outstanding academics, and Stratford boasts a superb theater department. Rummel Creek Elementary is scheduled to be torn down and rebuilt by 2016.
Close to shopping and fine dining at both City Centre and Town & Country, families in this neighborhood have entertainment less than a mile away. Interested in getting close to nature? The Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary is located on the edge of the neighborhood, offering multiple summer camps and programs throughout the year. Memorial Glen Pool offers activities and summer swim team, while the close proximity to hike and bike trails is a fitness enthusiasts dream.
This area is served by the City of Houston Police and Fire Departments, but also offers Constable services.
